Statue to commemorate the discovery of DNA, Northampton
This statue can be found in Abington Street, Northampton – the main shopping street. The statue itself is either loved or hated in the town, but for me I am fascinated by its form and have taken it many times. This was taken whilst on a shopping trip and on coming out of a shop I was attracted by the sunset behind the statue and the gentle light glow on the stainless steel pillars. I have cloned out a TV aerial and wires across the street.
The statue itself was erected to commemorate the discovery of DNA as one of the scientists was born in the town and attended Grammar School there.
