Another gig at The Assembly, Leamington Spa – this time to see the folk fusion band, the Imagined Village. I’d seen them on Jools Holland’s Later show, and thought they might be worth a visit.
Thorough enjoyed the gig although the lighting seemed to be difficult this time, so here are some shots from the evening:
Eliza Carthy – folk royalty! and her voice is as good as ever.
Jackie Oates – the newest member of the band, and one of my favourite shots of the evening as it’s always satisfying to catch a backlit shot.
Simon Emmerson and Johnny Kalsi
Sheema Mukherjee – just for once, without her sitar.
And my favourite of the evening, although it has had to be heavily processed because of the many light sources and the resulting image is quite noisy.
